Major Contributions
I began leading the design system project in August 2025 and have been working as the sole and lead designer ever since. When picking up the project, many components were still being built, most had issues with efficiency and utilization, most had not been coded or audited in code, and no components had been implemented properly.
Major contributions include:
-
15+ net new components designed and built in Figma (plus variants)
-
Updated all components for improved efficiency by using better variant structuring, auto layout, and naming conventions
-
90% of all components designed, audited, and tested in design flows (up from 60% when I was brought on to the project)
-
Built an entirely new date picker component for use in filters to meet accessibility requirements for desktop and mobile
-
Updated design system foundations to utilize basic token variables for colors
-
Created documentation for all components including use cases/examples, Figma parameters, and templates
-
Designed and planned for the implementation of 30 app pages ready to be swapped to the new design system in code
-
Audited all coded components bringing the team up to 80% of designed components ready to use in code
-
Ongoing education for designers and developers on proper usage of the new design system including the validation of all new features and feature updates being pushed to production environments
